This is interesting. It is months into the server and I have not checked the externals since early in February.
On a final note, TS was a great alliance. We had a strong, loyal core of 43 members. It was the outsiders that we allowed to join us who proved unreliable and unable to work as a team.
Initially, TS was established with a group of friends from other servers. We play together well. Work together well. And loyalty goes without question. After trusting players from this server to join us to strengthen the alliance, we found out we had made a grave mistake. Players like Velvetelvis, BCCurtis, and about 20 others did not have the mindset to fight together as a team. They had no sense of loyalty to the alliance or to its members. Their sole purpose was to try to destroy us from the inside out. They did their damage, but those of dedicated and loyal to one another as old friends in the game, never waivered, never betrayed one another, and always worked together.
I do not do well playing with noobs and neither do most of my team. We were all there at one time. We do understand the growing pains of learning the game. We provided excellent info for those who were new, but we came to this server as an experienced group of players wanting to play the game. We did not come here to spend a lot of time on teaching new players. That is not good or bad. That is simply honest.
I was a strict leader. That meant that goals were established that would help us all grow together. I do not believe in leaving a team member behind. An alliance is only as strong as its weakest link. What kind of leader would I be to not provide a new player the tools necessary to not only play the game but to have a chance to actually succeed?
Any major issues for the alliance were voted on by the alliance. I never made a major decision without hearing from each and every member who would be affected by that decision. So those who say I was dictatorial obviously haven't a clue what they are talking about. My goal for my team was to help them win a crown on THIS server. I don't care what banner we are flying to do that. We are playing just as proudly together under TG's banner as we did TS's.
TS always put its members first. We moved together. We fought together. AND WE DECIDED together that we wished to merge. We WERE NOT being "beat". We had two offers to merge. One was from Toxicity and one was from THE GANG. I had just about decided to merge with Toxicity when CapnCrunch and VelvetElvis both decided to be "coy" in final negotiations and not answer the questions I asked. THE GANG answered my questions directly and forthright. There was no "choice" at that point. The entire alliance voted and the majority ruled that we would merge into THE GANG.
Merging into THE GANG was the perfect choice for us. MCBOB200 has the exact same mindset, same forum, same goals, same strategical and tactical planning that we used. It has been a perfect fit.
I do not care to lead. That has never been a choice of mine. But I was proud to play with old Grepo friends and I will play with them on this server and any future servers. From the way things look, we will be gladly following MCBOB200 to victory on this server and any server he chooses to lead on in the future.
Thanks to all TS members who have stayed with THE GANG. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Together we will continue to have fun and succeed. We have always been a great team and no matter which banner we are under together, we will continue to be a great team.
For those who turned on TS, betrayed TS, joined Toxicity abandoning their team, and purposely sabotaged TS, we know your names. We will not ever forget. That is just part of the experience.
